Sharon Westre

Willow Creek Springs is proud to announce the addition of Sharon to our teaching staff. She will be teaching enrichment classes for children and adults.

Sharon, a California credentialed teacher, teaches a wide spectrum of subjects. After receiving her BFA in art and education from the University of South Dakota, she was an art specialist and a K-12 art instructor in South Dakota for 9 years. Post-graduate studies in science, language arts, reading, drama, storytelling, and art gave her the very special tools she needed be a classroom teacher for the next 15 years in California. Over the years she has taught all ages from pre-school to adult education. Sharon’s expertise lies in the integration of science and the fine arts into the academic curriculum.

Sharon is also a licensed Brain Gym®” consultant and instructor. After her mother died from Alzheimer’s disease, and her three grandsons were diagnosed with autism and Asperger’s Syndrome, Sharon began studying Brain Gym®” to assist her family. After her first class, she learned Brain Gym® was for EVERYONE, and she knew it was her mission to bring this profound program to everyone she could. She has been teaching the methods and movements to children, adults, special needs kids, parents, teachers, and the elderly ever since. And yes, she integrates it into her classes. In addition, Sharon is certified to practice hypnotherapy and to teach hypnosis. She was also trained in the Black Hat Sect method of Feng Shui under Master Nate Batoon and is devoted to all of the healing arts.

Sharon loves the GREAT PLANET EARTH; it’s creatures, plants, and everyone and everything on it. She has 2 sons, a daughter, 3 grandsons, and a house of creatures including a lizard, toad, salamander, 5 pigeons, 2 guinea pigs, 3 turtles, 3 dogs, 7cats, lots of rats, three tanks of fish, and lots of plants that she all loves dearly. She can’t wait to share her knowledge and stories, and is honored to be a part of Willow Creek Springs and its teaching staff.
